Facilitated Change Overs
Facilitated Hand-Overs & Hand-Backs are for parents/carers who are progressing to being able to manage contact visits themselves or for situations in which parents/carers simply prefer to not see each other.
When hand-overs occur before and after supervised contact taking place at either at our cottage in Wyong or somewhere else within the community, we stagger arrival times for each parent/carer so they don't come into contact with each other. We can also meet them at a different location (if needed) before and after the contact visit takes place if safer to do so.
By eliminating the need for parents/carers to come into contact with each other, the risk of conflict is reduced and children are able to have a positive experience as they move from one parent/carer to the other.
